Disinfection
Disinfection — Elimination of Harmful Microorganisms
Disinfection is the process of eliminating harmful microorganisms — bacteria, viruses, mould and other pathogens — from surfaces and the air.
We apply all major disinfection methods:
Surfaces · Air · Microorganisms
Mechanical methods
Cleaning of premises and surfaces
Physical methods
Temperature, drying and UV
Chemical methods
Spraying and fogging
Methods
Types of Disinfection Methods
Mechanical Methods
- Ventilation of premises
- Wet cleaning
- Cleaning of soft furniture and items
- Shaking and beating out fabrics
- Vacuuming and filtration
Physical Methods
- High and low temperatures
- Drying
- Burning, boiling, incineration
- Ultraviolet irradiation
Chemical Disinfection
Includes spraying and fogging with chemical disinfectants.
Most commonly used agents:
- Chlorinated lime
- Chloramine
- Lysol, Tenol
- Formalin
- Pantocide — for water disinfection
Biological Methods — Ozonation
Ozonation effectively eliminates odours and microorganisms by oxidising odour molecules.
It is an environmentally friendly and economical method — its only input and final product is air.
Indoor Disinfection
Indoor Disinfection
BAUME performs indoor disinfection using the cold fogging method, which allows the disinfectant to reach even hard-to-access areas. The fog treats both surfaces and the air.
Additionally, we disinfect:
- stair railings
- door handles
- sanitary facilities
- other frequently touched surfaces
Premises can be safely re-entered after just 30 minutes.
Preventive Disinfection
Considering the spread of viruses, we recommend regular preventive disinfection in:
- offices
- branch locations
- public institutions
- vehicles
Broad-Spectrum Disinfectant
We use a broad-spectrum disinfectant effective against more than 500 viruses, bacteria and fungi, including laboratory-tested efficacy against Covid-19.
Documentation
Documentation
After disinfection, we prepare all required documentation:
01
Safety Data Sheets
02
Handover/acceptance reports
03
Health Inspectorate permits
04
Qualification certificates of technicians
Feed Additive Disinfection
We perform disinfection of feed additives in warehouses and terminals.
The most common procedure is preventive treatment against Salmonella bacteria.
We use disinfectants that are registered and approved in the European Union, ensuring safety and compliance.
